Poipu is made of many beaches combined and here you can indulge your love of swimming below the surf itself. The sheltered coves are some of the best in the world for learning to snorkel. With views of Angelfish, Striped Damsels, Moorish Idols, Black Tangs and schools of Butterfly fish all along the reefs found here.

The rocky coastline helps to hide this paradise, however, swimming is recommended for the more advanced swimmers or with a special tour guide.

To see nature at its most glorious, you might want to check out the Lava tubes as the surf is forced over 50 feet in the air. This natural wonder is called the Sprouting Horn for its shape and the force of the water pouring through.
