Kauai Vacation Rentals

Kauai vacation rentals are great for outdoor lovers who are not as interested in the night life happening on the other islands. This is the place to be for a truly tropical experience and restful vacation. The local culture can be felt all around and in your beautiful villa as well.

While there, you might want to visit the Napali Coast, or possibly a coffee plantation. You can also do some serious sport fishing and experience Hawaii’s famous Luau as well. This island is also the home of the lovely and famous Waimea Canyon, which is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

When staying in one of the Kauai vacation rentals you experience the beautiful and exotic beaches. These homes have awe-inspiring views of the Ocean and tropical breezes to keep you cool. There are local shopping centers where you can buy all you need for that romantic dinner for two, or possibly enjoy the local cuisine at a nearby restaurant.

You will love the local scenery and exotic things to do. Did you know that Kauai is known as Hawaii’s garden Isle, due to the lush foliage, breathtaking flowers and the long stretches of White Sand Beaches? Kauai is also the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. These all make it the perfect place for a romantic getaway, an enchanting Wedding or the perfect honeymoon.

Perhaps you want to visit Waimea Canyon, which is ten miles long, two miles wide and over 3,000 feet deep. It was nicknamed the Grand Canyon of the pacific by Mark Twain due to its deep reds, green and brown colors caused by the volcanic flow through the centuries. It borders on the Koke State Park, which should be your next destination while staying in one of these great Kauai Vacation Rentals.

The park is more than 4,000 acres with 45 trails you can hike around on. Some of them are short hikes for a pleasurable day of walking while the longer hikes take you to lookouts over the canyon. The park has many beautiful and inspiring views for both the young and old alike.

Next, you might want to get a real view of the islands beauty by taking a Helicopter Ride to view the luscious waterfalls, amazing sea cliffs and the Mountain Waialeale, which can only be seen from the ski above. There are even more ways to view the island from the air all you have to is decide which is the best for you.

If the water is more your speed or suites your needs more, you can tour the Na Pali Coast by Boat or a Zodiac Raft. Kauai’s Na Pali Coast is actually 22 miles of volcanic cliffs, which can be viewed from far away but can only be felt and truly appreciated close up.

Next we have the Limahuli Garden and Preserve, which was chosen as the Best Natural Botanical Garden in the US in 1997 by the American Horticultural Society. It is over 1,000 acres of splendid and flourishing tropical valley. You can choose to explore on your own or with a qualified guide.

Next we have the Movie tours of Kauai; this gives you the chance to stand on the exact place where some of the best movies and pictures have been made. Some of these great films on and off TV are Blue Hawaii, Fantasy Island, Gilligan's Island, Jurassic Park, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, South Pacific, plus many more. Sorry LOST fans, that show is filmed on Oahu. There are bus tours available, as well as 4by4 tours, and for the adventurous Helicopter Tours, you will find enjoyment for the entire family while there.

Who can stay in one of these Kauai vacation rentals and not visit the North Shore? It is just North of the Kauai's Coconut Coast. When going to the North Shore and during your visit there you can go past the King Kong Profile, the Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge and Lighthouse, Hanalei Lookout, Hanalei Town, and then past some of the world's most beautiful beaches, ending at Ke`e Beach.

Have you ever wondered what its like to be on a sugar plantation? Well, you can while you are staying on Kauai. There you will find the Gay & Robinson sugar plantation. This plantation is only one of two left on all of the Hawaiian Islands. Taking one of their tours is the best way to learn and see how this plantation has been in operation for more than 165 years. If a tour is not on your agenda, you can visit their museum instead, which happens to be free to the public.

Maybe you prefer to work on your golf swing while on Kauai. Well, with some of best designed golf courses around the world located in Kauai, you are sure to find one that is tailored to your needs.

The Wailua River Valley should also be on your list of places to see. Here you will be where the action was as they used this location to film Outbreak and Raiders of the Lost Ark. You can even go down the river to the recently restored Fern Grotto, or take a Kayak down Hawaii’s only navigable river.

Don’t forget the Sunny South Shore of Kauai, which is known for the famous beaches and majestic sunsets. If you are truly lucky, you can see a Monk Seal sunbathing in the afternoon sun.
